87.23

如希有校量功德經云。爾時長老阿難向佛而作是言。若善男子善女人。能如是言。我今歸依佛歸依法歸依僧。得幾所功德我實未解。唯願如來分別演說。令諸眾生得正知見。

As the Xiyou jiaoliang gongde jing states: At that time, the Elder Ānanda addressed the Buddha, saying: "If a good man or a good woman is able to say, 'I now take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, take refuge in the Saṃgha,' how much merit do they obtain? I truly do not understand. I only pray that the Tathāgata will analyze and explain it, so that all sentient beings may obtain right view."
