又論引四天王經中。佛說。月六齋日使者大子及四天王自下觀察眾生。不布施持戒孝順父母使者。便上忉利以啟帝釋。諸天心皆不悅。若布施持戒孝順父母多者。諸天帝釋心皆歡喜。是時釋提波那氏。即說偈言。

Furthermore, the treatise quotes from the Catur-mahārāja Sūtra where the Buddha taught: "On the six fasting days of the month, the messengers, crown prince, and the Four Heavenly Kings themselves descend to observe sentient beings. If people do not practice generosity, keep the precepts, and honor their parents, the messengers ascend to Trāyastriṃśa to report to Śakra, and the devas are all displeased. If many people practice generosity, keep the precepts, and honor their parents, the devas and Śakra are all delighted." At that time, Śakra Devānām Indra uttered a verse:
