如諸聖人常過中不食遠離非時行非時食。我今一日一夜過中不食遠離非時行非時食。以如是法隨學聖人。如偈說曰。

Just as all noble ones constantly do not eat past midday, keeping far away from improper conduct and eating at improper times; so I now for one day and one night do not eat past midday, keeping far away from improper conduct and eating at improper times; by means of such a dharma emulating the noble ones.” As the verse says:
