如來梵聲哀戀之音大人相者。乃往古世言語柔和與眾人言護口節辭。無央數人聞其所語無不悅故。
'That the Tathāgata has a Brahmā voice with lovely tones—this mark of a great personage—is because in ancient kalpas my speech was soft and gentle; when speaking with the multitude, I guarded my mouth and measured my words, so that countless people who heard what was spoken were all delighted.'
