第二汝見須曼那華柱者。是地獄人。迦葉佛時。是出家人。當供養剎柱。四輩檀越以須曼那華油用供養佛。比丘減取以為己用。故墮地獄。作大須曼那柱火燒受苦。至今不息。

The second sumana-flower pillar you saw is a denizen of hell. In the time of Kāśyapa Buddha, he was a monastic in charge of offerings at a stūpa pillar. When dānapatis of the four classes offered sumana-flower oil to the Buddha, the monk secretly subtracted some of it for his own use. Therefore, he fell into hell, where he became a great sumana pillar burned by fire, suffering pain without respite even to this day.
