又金光明經云。佛在世時。有持水長者。善知醫方。救諸病苦。持水長者有子。名曰流水。端正第一威德具足。受性聰敏善解諸論。見諸眾生受諸苦惱。時長者子即至父所。說偈問言。

Furthermore, the Suvarṇaprabhāsa-sūtra states: When the Buddha was in the world, there was an elder named Jaladhara (Holding Water), who was skilled in medicine and rescued people from various diseases and suffering. The elder Jaladhara had a son named Jalavāhana (Flowing Water), who was foremost in handsomeness, fully endowed with majestic virtue, naturally bright and keen, and well versed in various treatises. Seeing all sentient beings suffering various afflictions, the elder's son went to his father and spoke a verse to ask:
