97.17

述曰。生死連環不離俗諦。雖復出家志求勝道。分段未捨變易未除。仍依三界隨俗遷流。至於存亡。皆依內外。臨終之日安置得所。葬送威儀具存下說。且論亡屍。安置南北。魂魄不同。今此略述。

The commentary says: The linked cycle of birth and death does not depart from conventional truth. Although one may leave the household to aspire to the supreme path, if the segmented [birth and death] have not yet been abandoned and the changeful [birth and death] have not yet been removed, one still relies upon the three realms and drifts along with worldly customs. As for living and dying, all relies on internal and external [teachings]. On the day of one's death, being properly situated, and the decorum of funerary escorts are fully presented below. As for the deceased corpse being situated to the north or south, and the differences between the hun-soul and po-soul, these are now briefly narrated here.
