如付法藏經云。阿難比丘化諸眾生皆令度脫。最後至一竹林之中。聞有比丘誦法句經偈云。
As the Sūtra on the Transmission of the Dharmapiṭaka states: Bhikṣu Ānanda converted living beings, bringing them all to liberation. At last, he came to a bamboo grove, where he heard a bhikṣu reciting a verse from the Dharmapada:
