Furthermore, the Dapin jing (Larger Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra) says: "Because these people revile the omniscient knowledge of the Buddhas of the three periods, giving rise to and accumulating the causes and conditions of karma that destroys the Dharma, they fall into the great hells for immeasurable hundreds of thousands of myriads of koṭis of years. Such Dharma-destroyers go from one great hell to another great hell. When the fire kalpa arises, they go to the great hells in other realms; born in that place, they go from one great hell to another great hell. If the fire kalpa arises in that place, they again go to the great hells in other realms; born in that place, they go from one great hell to another great hell. In this way, they traverse the hells throughout the ten directions. If the fire kalpa arises in that place, they die from that place, yet because their causes and conditions of Dharma-destroying karma are not yet exhausted, they return here to the great hells in this world. Born here, they likewise go from one great hell to another great hell, undergoing immeasurable suffering. Due to the fire kalpa in this world, they again go to other lands in the ten directions and are born among animals, undergoing the suffering of Dharma-destroying sinful karma as described for the hells. When their heavy sins gradually lighten, they may obtain human form, being born into blind households, into caṇḍāla households, or into various lowly households of latrine cleaners and corpse carriers; upon birth they are either eyeless, one-eyed, blind, tongueless, earless, or handless, and the places where they are born are places without Buddhas, without Dharma, and without disciples of the Buddha. Why is this? Because they planted and accumulated the karma of destroying the Dharma deeply and heavily."
