When Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou destroyed the Dharma, sūtras and books turned to ashes. In a later year, five or six objects as large as round granaries were suddenly seen in the sky, flying up into the air until they were lost from sight. They formed a single piece, drifting up and down with the wind. The court ministers stood watching, unable to fathom what it was. After a long while, it fluttered down and landed atop an earthen wall. Upon inspection, it was the thirteenth scroll of the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā-sūtra.
