The Samantapāsādikā also states: "King Śuddhodana, having prostrated to the Buddha, addressed the Buddha, saying: 'I have now thrice prostrated to the feet of the Tathāgata. First, when the Buddha was newly born, Asita examined his marks and said: "If he remains at home, he shall become a wheel-turning holy king; if he leaves home to study the Way, he must surely become a Buddha." At that time the earth shook; seeing this divine power, I then prostrated to him. Second, when I went on an excursion, there were men plowing the fields. The Bodhisattva sat beneath a jambu tree; the time was already late afternoon, yet the tree's shadow remained still without shifting, sheltering the Bodhisattva's body. Seeing this divine power, I then prostrated to him. Third, now welcoming the Buddha's arrival in our kingdom, the Buddha ascended into the air and performed eighteen transformations, just as when subduing the non-Buddhists, with no difference in divine power; I then prostrated to him.'"
