Beyond Jambudvīpa, in the eastern ocean, there is a vaidūrya mountain named Lake, endowed with all kinds of jewels. On that mountain there is a cave named Various Colors, which is a place where a bodhisattva dwelt in the past. There is a venomous snake dwelling inside it, cultivating śrāvaka-loving-kindness. There is another cave named Deathless, which is also a place where a bodhisattva dwelt in the past; inside it is a horse cultivating śrāvaka-loving-kindness. There is another cave named Good Abode, which is also a place where a bodhisattva dwelt in the past; inside it is a sheep cultivating śrāvaka-loving-kindness. The tree spirit of that mountain is named Aparājita. There is a rākṣasī named Sucāritā. Each is surrounded by a retinue of five hundred. These two women constantly make offerings together to these three beasts.
