43.31

When the king saw this bhikṣu / Ascending into the open sky, / His heart was filled with great joy; / Joining his palms, he gazed at that noble one: / "I have something to say now, / Which my mind does not understand. / In physical form you are no different from other men, / Yet your supernatural powers are unprecedented. / Distinguish and explain for me / What Dharma you have cultivated / That caused you to attain purity; / Extensively expound it for me, / So that I may attain the supreme, wonderful Dharma. / Once I have comprehended the characteristics of the Dharma, / I shall become your disciple, / Never having any regrets to the end of my days."
