“I, a foolish monkey,
Harassed another without cause.
You who rescue from distress are a worthy gentleman;
My life is in imminent danger.
If today you, Brāhmaṇa,
Do not rescue me,
In an instant my male organ will be severed,
And I shall return wretched to the mountain forest.”
