Juqu Mengxun of the Song: At that time there was a monk named Dharmakṣema, who was broadly learned and deeply knowledgeable, and was trusted and revered by Mengxun. The Wei sent Li Shun to confer upon Mengxun the title of King of Liang, and also requested Dharmakṣema. Mengxun begrudged him and would not give him up. Dharmakṣema wished in his heart to enter the Wei, and repeatedly asked Mengxun for permission to depart. Mengxun was enraged and killed him. Soon afterward, Mengxun's attendants frequently saw in broad daylight Dharmakṣema striking Mengxun with a sword. Due to this he fell ill and died. (The one evidential account above is taken from the *Xuanhun zhi*.)
