"The Buddha is likened to sweet nectar;
In hearing him, one is never satiated.
One should not be indolent,
Which brings no benefit to all.
The sea of birth and death in the five destinies
Is likened to falling into foul mud;
Bound and entangled by desire and craving,
Lacking wisdom, one is deeply deluded.
When the sun rises, the many flowers bloom,
Likened to the Buddha's physical body;
When the sun sets, the flowers close again,
Likened to the World-Honoured One's parinirvāṇa.
Meeting and seeing the Tathāgata's era,
One should receive it with diligent vigor,
Cast away the hindrance of sleep,
And not claim that the Buddha remains forever.
The essential wisdom of the profound Dharma
Is not based on physical causes and conditions;
That he now manifests attachments
Should be known as skillful means.
Those delivered through skillful means
Derive benefit and do not strive in vain;
And manifesting this transformation
Is also for the sake of all."
