Furthermore, all entreat the Buddhas together to turn the wheel of the True Dharma. In the worlds of the ten directions, Buddhas who should attain enlightenment arise and appear in the world in thought after thought, exceeding all number. As it was in previous thoughts, so it is in subsequent thoughts; all await entreaty before preaching. Ordinary and holy beings throughout the ten directions abide in the hall of the dharmadhātu, all entreating them to abide long and turn the wheel of the True Dharma. Because the ordinary and holy revere persons and respect the Dharma with supreme sincerity of heart, the Buddhas respond to their capacities and accept the entreaty to turn the wheel of the True Dharma. When the Buddhas, responding to capacities, accept the entreaty and turn the wheel of the Dharma, I and the noble assembly always take part in this stream of exhortation and entreaty, none passing in vain. Why is this? Because in thought after thought we constantly exhort and entreat, causing sentient beings to hear the Dharma and awaken to understanding, abandon the heterodox and enter the orthodox, transcend the ordinary and attain the noble, curing my own karmic hindrances numerous as dust and sand from beginningless time—having taught people to do evil, destroyed others' good, robbed others of superior benefits, and slandered the Buddha, Dharma, and Saṃgha. Sentient beings, having heard the Dharma, awaken, enter, and attain realization, and pass on instruction to all sentient beings in turn, constantly without interruption to the end of future time.
