1.61

寧受一切苦　得聞佛音聲
不受一切樂　而不聞佛名
所以無量劫　受此諸苦惱
流轉生死中　不聞佛名故

"Better to endure all suffering / and thereby hear the sound of the Buddha, / than to receive every pleasure / but never hear the Buddha's name. / The reason that for immeasurable kalpas / we have suffered these various afflictions, / transmigrating through birth and death, / is that we did not hear the Buddha's name."
