10.11

貪人多積聚　得不生厭足
無明顛倒心　常念侵損他
現在多怨憎　捨身墮惡道
是故有智者　應當念知足
惜財不布施　藏舉恐人知
捨身空手去　餓鬼中受苦
飢渴寒熱等　憂悲常煎煮
智者不積聚　為破慳貪故

"Greedy people accumulate much, / yet in gaining it, never feel sated. / With minds inverted by avidyā, / they constantly think of infringing upon and harming others. / In the present life they have many enemies and resentments; / upon discarding the body, they fall into the evil destinies. / Therefore, the wise / should be mindful of contentment. / Begrudging wealth, they do not give, / hiding it away for fear others will know. / Discarding the body, they depart empty-handed, / to endure suffering among the hungry ghosts. / Hunger, thirst, cold, heat, and the like, / sorrow and grief constantly boil them. / The wise do not accumulate, / in order to shatter stinginess and greed."
