兄聞是已。答其弟言。我以親故不為沮壞。弟白兄言。非為親愛乃是歿敗。即說偈言。
The elder brother, having heard this, answered his younger brother, saying, 'It is out of affection that I do this, not to ruin you.' The younger brother said to the elder brother, 'This is not loving affection, but rather bringing about ruin.' Then he spoke a gāthā:
