如地持論云。菩薩生有五種。住一切行。安樂一切眾生。一息苦生。二隨類生。三勝生。四增上生。五最後生。

As the Bodhisattvabhūmi states: Bodhisattvas have five kinds of birth by which they abide in all practices and bring peace and joy to all sentient beings: first, birth that quenches suffering; second, birth according with species; third, superior birth; fourth, sovereign birth; fifth, final birth.
