12.88

第八中陰有者。若欝單越人。臨命終時則有相現。見於園林遊戲之處。香潔可愛。聞之悅樂。不多苦惱。其心不濁。以清淨心即升空殿。見諸天眾遊空而行。猶如夢中。三十三天勝妙可愛。一切五欲皆悉具足。從欝單越死。生此天中。是名欝單越人生此天處熏習遊戲及死時相第八中陰有也。

The eighth intermediate state: When a person of Uttarakuru approaches the end of life, signs appear: they see parks and groves, places of amusement, fragrant, clean, and lovely. Hearing of them brings joy; they have not much suffering or distress, and their mind is not turbid. With a pure mind they immediately ascend to an empty palace, seeing the assemblies of gods traveling through the air as if in a dream. The Heaven of the Thirty-Three is superior, wonderful, and lovely, fully endowed with all five desires. Dying from Uttarakuru, they are born in this heaven. This is called the eighth intermediate state of a person of Uttarakuru being born in this heavenly place, habituating in amusement, and the signs at the time of death.
