心境相乘　業結牽纏　七識起發
八識成因　三界受報　六趣遷延
隨處起業　觸處拘連　五陰勞倦
九惱邅迍　自非慈聖　何慧爽神
含情普洽　機悟玄津　舒則利物
卷則收恩

Mind and objects mount one another; / The bonds of karma entangle. / The seven consciousnesses arise and launch forth; / The eighth consciousness forms the cause. / Receiving retribution in the triple realm, / Lingering through the six destinies. / Generating karma wherever one goes, / Bound and tied in whatever one touches. / The five aggregates grow weary; / The nine distresses impede and stall. / If not for the compassionate sage, / What wisdom could clear the spirit? / Pervading all sentient beings, / The faculty awakens to the profound ford: / Expanding, it benefits things; / Contracting, it gathers grace.
