16.73

羅剎悔過竟。送薩薄至外國。大得珍寶。又送還家。大修功德遂成道迹。故知戒力不可思議。勸諸行者。堅持禁戒。還如此人。立志勇猛。

After the rākṣasa had repented his transgression, he escorted Sābó to the foreign land, where he obtained great rare treasures, and escorted him back home. He cultivated great merit and eventually achieved the traces of the Way. Thus one knows that the power of the precepts is inconceivable. I urge all practitioners to uphold the restrictive precepts firmly, just like this man, establishing heroic resolve.
