17.34
時舍利子。聞已念言。此死外道。都無慚愧。乃能無賴說此伽陀。我今亦應對彼說頌。作是念已。即說頌言。
Then Śāriputra, having heard this, thought: "This vile non-Buddhist has no sense of shame at all, to so brazenly utter this gāthā. I too should now speak a verse in reply to him." Having thought thus, he immediately recited this verse:
