18.51

第九復有眾生。常在火城中煻煨臍心。四門俱開。若欲趣門門即閉之。東西馳走不能自免。為火燒盡。何罪所致。佛言。以前世時。坐焚燒山澤。火煨雞子。燒煮眾生。身爛皮剝。故獲斯罪。

"Ninth, there are sentient beings who are constantly in a fiery city where the burning coals reach to their navels. The four gates are all open, but whenever they try to run to a gate, it immediately closes. Running back and forth between east and west, they cannot escape and are completely consumed by fire. What sin brought this about?" The Buddha said: "In their past lives, it was due to setting fire to mountains and marshes, roasting eggs in hot coals, and burning and boiling sentient beings so that their bodies rotted and their skins peeled. Therefore they incurred this sinful retribution."
