19.13

撾杖良善　妄讒無罪　其殃十倍
災迅無赦　生受酷痛　形體毀折
自然惱病　失意恍惚　人所輕笑
或縣官厄　財產耗盡　親戚離別
舍宅所有　災火焚燒　死入地獄
如是為十

'Flogging the good and virtuous, / falsely slandering the innocent— / the calamity is tenfold, / disaster swift and unforgiving: / during life, one suffers bitter pain, / one's physical body is mutilated and broken, / afflictions and diseases arise spontaneously, / one loses one's mind in confusion, / becoming an object of ridicule to others; / or official distress befalls, / property is completely exhausted, / relatives are separated, / and whatever dwellings one has / are consumed and burned by disastrous fire; / after death, one enters hell. / Such are the ten.'
