何法名為苦　所謂貧窮是
何苦最為重　所謂貧窮苦
死苦與貧窮　二苦等無異
寧當受死苦　不用貧窮生

"What phenomenon is called suffering? / It is that which is called poverty. / What suffering is the most severe? / It is that which is called the suffering of poverty. / The suffering of death and poverty— / these two sufferings are equal and no different. / Better to endure the suffering of death / than to live in poverty."
