又五百問事云。續佛光明晝不得滅。佛無明闇。以本無言念齊限。故滅有罪。又大唐三藏波頗師云。佛前燈無處取。燈以物傍取。不損光者得。

Furthermore, the Wubai wenshi (Five Hundred Questions on Matters) says: When continuing the Buddha's light, it must not be extinguished during the day. The Buddha has neither light nor darkness, but because originally no time limit was stated, extinguishing it brings guilt. Furthermore, Tripiṭaka Master Prabhākaramitra of the Great Tang said: If there is nowhere to take a lamp from before the Buddha, it is permissible to take from it from the side with an object, provided that it does not diminish its light.
