Now, the Triratna is impartial, vast as empty space, without enmity or affection, and beyond high or low status. Neither favouring nor rejecting, it responds to the 마음 of the donor. Therefore, holding this silently and banishing characteristics, it takes the boundary of space as its limit; according with time and following conditions, it is commensurate with the dharmadhātu. Since the cause is unexhausted, the fruit is likewise inexhaustible. Furthermore, in secular frugality and material poverty, gifts are restricted and bounded; when things are limited, the mind is also narrow and attached. Some weigh the person to select their virtue, some restrict by practice to weed out impurity, some grasp at marks to distinguish form, or observe appearances to dismiss the unsightly. In this way, restricting by person and restricting by wealth, the constrained mind is hard to record. Unbelieving in finite blessings, they nevertheless hope to partake in boundless retribution. Thus, long ago, the mother of Viśākhā individually invited five hundred arhats, but the Tathāgata reproached her, saying that this was not equal to inviting a single ordinary monk in accordance with the saṅgha's turn, which yields boundless merit. Therefore, know that when the mind is limitless, blessings pervade the ten directions; when wealth is neither much nor little, the mind encompasses the dharmadhātu.
