浮雲南北竟無歸　子客東西何可依
原憲糟糠竊有望　田氏膏腴詎敢希
藹藹廡庭絕車馬　寂寂蓬門掩席扉
宿昔偷光悋餘照　今日窮途空自欺

Floating clouds drift north and south with no place to return; / Wandering guests roam east and west—what can they rely upon? / Yuan Xian might secretly hope for dregs and chaff, / But how could one dare aspire to the richness of the Tian family? / Gloomy and dark, the veranda courtyard is cut off from horses and carriages; / Desolate and still, the overgrown door conceals a mat curtain. / In days of old, one stole light while begrudging the leftover shine; / Today, at the end of the road, one vainly deceives oneself.
