有子有財　愚唯汲汲　我且非我
何有子財　暑當止此　寒當止此
愚多預慮　莫知來變　愚曚愚蔽
自謂我智　愚而稱智　是謂極愚

'"I have children, I have wealth"— / The fool is ever anxious about this. / When one's own self is not even one's self, / How could there be children or wealth? / "In the heat I will stay here; / In the cold I will stay here"— / The fool plans so much in advance, / Knowing nothing of coming changes. / Foolish, dark, and clouded over, / He calls himself wise. / But being foolish and claiming wisdom— / This is called the utmost folly.'
