"Tracing the causes, the paths are indeed different;
Yet when the bodies are cast off, the destinies still merge.
At the extreme of suffering, one longs to return to joy;
At the extreme of joy, suffering arises once more.
Is it not that the distinction of transgression and merit
All stems from feelings of rigid attachment?
If one severs karma with outflows,
One constantly sees the peace of the dharmakāya."
