"If with flowers, scented ointments,
Clothing, food, and decoctions or medicines,
One uses these to make offerings to the Buddhas,
It is not called true offering.
The subtle and wondrous Dharma attained
By the Tathāgata sitting at the bodhimaṇḍa—
If a person can practice and study it,
This is truly making offerings to the Buddha."
