Furthermore, a practitioner, observing the body internally according to the body, by means of wisdom gained from hearing or by means of the divine eye, sees ten kinds of worms moving through the urine. What are the ten? The first is named the living worm; the second is named the needle-mouthed worm; the third is named the node worm; the fourth is named the legless worm; the fifth is named the juice-dispersing worm; the sixth is named the three-scorched worm; the seventh is named the bowel-breaking worm; the eighth is named the obstructing worm; the ninth is named the good-colored worm; the tenth is named the foul-gate ulcer worm. Their hair is repulsive, and they dwell in excrement and filth. If these ten kinds of worms become angry contrary to their nature, they also harm the human body. This is fully described in the sūtra text and cannot be recounted in full.
