When the Buddha had spoken thus, King Udayana was filled with joy, touched his head to the ground, and addressed the Buddha, saying, "Truly, since the year I was born, I have never heard that the evil traits of women were like this! Men become rebellious and chaotic, following them into evil, merely because they did not know and thus did not restrain their minds. From this day forward, for the rest of my life I will repent, take refuge in the Three Honored Ones, and never dare to transgress again." Making obeisance to the Buddha, he joyfully withdrew.
