Furthermore, the Saddharmasmṛtyupasthāna-sūtra states: If any sentient being sees a violator of the law who should suffer the agony of death, and redeems his life with wealth to enable his deliverance without seeking reward for the kindness, at the end of life he will be born in the Heaven of Constant Joy; descending from heaven, he will regain human form and not meet with royal troubles. If a sentient being who keeps the precepts sees a great fire arise burning sentient beings and extinguishes it with water, saving the sentient beings, at the end of life he will be born in the Heaven of Walking the Path, receiving various pleasures.
