He Chong of the Eastern Jin was the first to donate his residence to make a monastery and settle nuns therein; among them there was no lack of those of miraculous distinction, scriptural comprehension, and spiritual clarity who soared prominently and stood out as preeminent. Baoxian of the Song was Rectifier of Nuns for the Capital. Emperor Wen gave her the four requisites of support, and Emperor Xiaowu provided ten thousand cash per month.
