注維摩經什法師云。凡夫能出四趣。不能出於天趣。出家求滅。則五道斯越（滅即涅槃也）○肇云。五道非無為之路也。

In the Commentary on the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa, Master Jīva says: "Ordinary beings can escape the four destinies, but cannot escape the heavenly destiny. If one leaves the household to seek extinction, then the five destinies are transcended." (Extinction is nirvāṇa.) ○ Sengzhao says: "The five destinies are not the path of the unconditioned."
