寶雨經云。於如來教中。正信出家。非因王力所逼。不為賊抑。不為負債。不怖不活邪命出家為希求正法以信出家。

The Ratnamegha Sūtra states: "Within the Tathāgata's teaching, one leaves the household out of correct faith—not driven by the force of a king, not oppressed by thieves, not because of debts, and not out of fear of inability to make a living or wrong livelihood. One leaves the household out of faith, in order to seek the true Dharma."
