The Fanmonan guowang jing says: Eating is like taking medicine when a person is ill in body, simply to make it heal; one must not give rise to greed and attachment. / The Modeqie lun states: When receiving food, one should generate mindfulness with each mouthful. Eating is limited to three spoonfuls per mouthful. At the first spoonful, silently say: 'May I cut off all evil.' At the second spoonful, say: 'May I cultivate all good.' At the third spoonful, say: 'May the wholesome roots cultivated be dedicated to sentient beings, so that all may together attain Buddhahood.' (According to the treatise, one must generate mindfulness with every mouthful. If simplifying the complexity, reciting collectively at the first mouthful of three spoonfuls is also acceptable).
