四分云。勇猛比丘白佛。欲以世間言論。修治佛經。佛言癡人以外道言論。欲雜糅佛經。乃是毀損。

The Dharmaguptaka-vinaya says: 'The monk Śūra addressed the Buddha, wishing to polish and revise Buddhist sūtras with worldly treatises. The Buddha said: "Deluded man! To mix Buddhist sūtras with non-Buddhist treatises is a defilement and detriment."'
