2.258

一俗諦。又名安立諦。二真諦。又名非安立諦。又名勝義諦○婆沙論云。諦者實義。真義。如義。不顛倒義。無虛誑義○契經云。佛所說法。皆歸二諦。

1. Conventional truth, also named established truth; 2. Ultimate truth, also named non-established truth, and also named supreme-meaning truth. The Vibhāṣā-śāstra says: '"Truth" (satya) has the meaning of real, true, suchness, non-erroneous, and devoid of falsity.' A sūtra says: 'The teachings expounded by the Buddha all return to the two truths.'
