長阿含經云。佛在摩竭國毘陀山中。入火焰三昧。又昔在舍衛婆羅舍。入火焰三昧。今則象之。
The Dīrghāgama says: When the Buddha was on Mount Vediyaka in the country of Magadha, he entered the fire-flame samādhi. Also, formerly in Śrāvastī at a brāhmaṇa's residence, he entered the fire-flame samādhi. Today this is represented visually.
