唐內典錄云。後漢明帝永平七年。使秦景往月支國得優填王雕像師第四畫樣（此西域始也）至洛陽。勅圖於西陽城門及顯節陵上供養此土為始也。

The Tang neidian lu says: In the seventh year of the Yongping era of Emperor Ming of the Later Han, he sent Qin Jing to the Yuezhi country, where he obtained the fourth painted model by King Udayana's sculptor (this was the beginning in the Western Regions). When he arrived in Luoyang, an imperial edict ordered it to be painted on the Xiyang City Gate and atop the Xianjie Mausoleum for veneration; this was the beginning in this land.
