婆沙論云。一欲有。二色有。三無色有。有者何義。謂一切有漏法。是。佛言若業能令後生相續是有又云生滅故名有。墮苦集諦中是有。

The Vibhāṣā-śāstra states: "First is the existence of the desire realm, second is the existence of the form realm, and third is the existence of the formless realm. What is the meaning of 'existence' (bhava)? It refers to all tainted dharmas. The Buddha said that if karma can cause the continuation of future rebirths, that is existence. It also says that because of arising and ceasing, it is called existence. That which falls within the truths of suffering and origination is existence."
