2.366

婆沙論云。由先時造作增上暴惡。身語意惡行生彼○辯意經云。有五事死入地獄。一不信三寶。而行誹謗。輕毀聖道。二破壞佛寺。（三四）輩轉相誹謗。不計殃罪無敬順意。無有君臣父母。五已得為道。不順師教。而自貢高。輕慢謗師（地獄因果。廣有章門。此但梗[目*(既/木)]）。

The *Vibhāṣā-śāstra* states: 'Because they previously committed predominant, violent evils—evil conduct of body, speech, and mind—they are born there.' The *Bianyi jing* states: 'There are five things by which one enters hell upon death: first, not having faith in the Three Jewels, engaging in slander, and disparaging the noble path; second, destroying Buddhist monasteries; third and fourth, [the four] classes [of disciples] mutually slandering one another, disregarding retribution and sin, without minds of reverent compliance, and recognizing no rulers, ministers, fathers, or mothers; fifth, having already attained entry into the Way, not complying with the teacher's instructions, becoming conceited, and holding in contempt and slandering one's teacher.'
