隋高僧法願。大明律藏。詞辯高亮。彭亨難敵。號律虎。

The eminent monk Fayuan of the Sui dynasty greatly illuminated the Vinaya Piṭaka; his rhetoric was elevated and resonant, and with vigorous momentum he was hard to match, so he was called the 'Tiger of the Vinaya'.
