高僧洪偃。博學內外。凡所著述。皆封入祕閣。時號四絕。一貌。二義。三詩。四書。

The eminent monk Hongyan was widely learned in both internal [Buddhist] and external [secular] texts. Whatever he authored was sealed and deposited in the secret imperial archives. In his time he was called the possessor of four superlatives: first, appearance; second, doctrinal interpretation; third, poetry; fourth, calligraphy.
