僧叡。年二十二。博解經論禪觀。能講說。司徒姚崇重之。時姚興猶未識。問崇曰叡。也如何（崇曰可謂）鄴衛松柏。及興相見語論。觀之才器。興曰乃是四海摽領。

Sengrui, at the age of twenty-two, had a broad understanding of sūtras, treatises, and dhyāna-contemplation, and was skilled at lecturing. Minister of Works Yao Chong held him in high esteem. At that time, Yao Xing did not yet know him and asked Chong: 'What kind of man is Rui?' (Chong said: 'He can be called) the pine and cypress of Ye and Wei.' When Xing met and conversed with him, observing his talent and caliber, Xing said: 'He is indeed an exemplary leader of the four seas.'
